Enhance Your Landscape with Natural Stone Borders
There are many variations of natural bed borders on the market.
Although we specialize in natural stone such as choprock and field stone stackers, we can also install the manufactured landscape blocks that are also available in many variations.
All of our borders are laid on a granite gravel base for stability and to raise the lower course flush with the grass line, so you don’t lose half of your visibility of borders below the grass line.
The most common natural stone used is 4” chop rock (sometimes called “wister’’ rock), It is typically laid in a single course 4’’ thick and deep with a variety of lengths. Some others available are 6” & 8” depths with colors of Brown, White, Gray, and Tan.
The next common stone are field stackers, sometimes called moss stackers. Laid in 2 courses averaging about 6” in height, depth & widths vary. Third courses are sometimes added, especially on elevated curves of beds. Colors available are typically Light tan, to a Reddish tone.
